Eva’s Determined Spirit
Eva was motivated by the hardships she seen over the years and is now a young woman with a strong will. “I want to help people, Dad,” she would add, her eyes gleaming with enthusiasm. “I want to change things.” She devoted herself fully to her academics and frequently volunteered at nearby shelters. Her perseverance made me think a lot about my own motivation, which got us through difficult times. I couldn’t help but feel proud of her as I watched her.

Jonas, Our Family Anchor
With unexpected maturity, Jonas embraced his position as the family’s pillar. He seemed to comprehend everyone’s needs, even though he was younger than Eva, and he made sure that everyone was happy. “Let’s play soccer, James!” Always keen to interact with his sibling, he would propose. He was the one who made everyone laugh when things became tight. His easygoing and contagious laughter served as a reminder to all of us that even in the midst of life’s upheavals, there is always beauty to be found in the little things.
