“We can help spread awareness so that more people decide to become donors,” said Jaqi, who spent every night in hospital with Kevin. “There’s so much you can do with this platform. And it took about two years to build, but I think we can really help a lot of people. That’s our new focus now. ” From a complicated and even traumatic situation, a light at the end of the tunnel appeared by using this powerful tool as a tool for change and social action.

Kevin adds: “At the end of the day, life has to move on. There’s a lot of love out there. I’ve been getting texts, emails and calls from people I haven’t heard from since college. It’s helped our family deal with this in a very positive way. ” By spreading the word and bringing the public closer during this delicate time that the family went through, Jaqi, Kevin and their 3 children received a lot of support and also supported a lot of institutions dedicated to fighting and treating cancer and people in recovery.
