Enjoying the family
The transplant took place at the City of Hope National Medical Center in Duarte, just outside Los Angeles, and Inside Edition was there to capture the big day. Three weeks later, Kevin was released to leave the hospital. He will undergo tests next month to see if the transplant has worked. In the meantime, he is enjoying time with his family. The thousands who answered the twins’ call will not go to waste. According to DKMS, those who participate in donor campaigns are added to a national registry where any patient looking for a donor can find their perfect match.

Good news
“We hung out with our cousin Shane today and just got GREAT news!!! Our dad got his PET scan results a few minutes ago and his lymphoma is still completely CLEAR. His bone marrow biopsy also came back last week showing that his leukemia is also gone! He is in COMPLETE remission! Unfortunately, he will still need to undergo the bone marrow transplant this Friday, as his cancer is very aggressive and highly likely to come back. But we are hopeful that it will work and he will be back home with us before his 40th birthday on February 27th.”
