As the pilot had promised, the plane took off fifteen minutes later. The passengers quickly settled into their own routines, no longer sparing a glance in Cora’s direction. Yet, something still nagged at her. The rude flight attendant hadn’t apologized—or even acknowledged her—after the kind one had spoken to her in the galley.
