The plane was quiet
“I’m sure it was right here,” Cora said, her voice laced with confusion. The flight attendant, arms crossed and foot tapping impatiently, stared down at her with little sympathy. Cora’s eyes brimmed with tears as the tension built. The cabin had fallen unnervingly silent, passengers straining to catch every word of the unfolding exchange.

“Ma’am, you’re holding up the plane. Either you go now, willingly, or we’ll have to call the police,” the flight attendant suddenly demanded. “Please, let me call my daughter, she was the one who booked this seat. Please let me try to make this right, I paid for this seat!” Cora tried to plead with her, but nothing seemed to work.
