When Mallory and Cliff checked out what Allen saw, they also noticed that there was something strange about the iceberg. However, they could not put a finger on what it was.

They got closer and closer to the iceberg, which let them have a better view of what was right in front of the boat. The three noticed a dark spot right on top of this iceberg, but it was still too far for them to see what it was. Mallory thought it was only a seal basking in the sunlight.
