Contacting the authorities
Dr. Lewis agreed and suggested contacting authorities as well as experts from local universities. “We need more brains,” he said seriously. Jane and Tom exchanged a look and felt a mixture of relief and concern. “Do you think they can help?” asked Jane. “I’m sure they can,” Dr. Lewis replied confidently. His proactive approach reassured the family a little. “We’ll get to the bottom of it,” he promised, and was already starting to dial numbers to put together a team of experts.

Frustrated Sarah
Sarah was frustrated because she felt that her new friend was being taken away from her. “What’s taking them so long?” she asked with a hint of impatience. “They just want to make sure everything is all right,” Jane placated, although she could sense her daughter’s frustration herself. Tom added: “We have to trust them, darling.” Despite these reassuring words, Sarah felt a pang of sadness. Her concern for the creature’s safety was real and made the wait even harder to bear.
