Meeting with Dr. Lewis
Dr. Lewis greeted them with a warm smile. “Good afternoon, everyone. What brings you here today?” he asked, whereupon Jane quickly explained how Sarah had discovered the creature in the forest. As she spoke, Dr. Lewis listened intently, but when he finally saw the animal, his eyes widened – even though he tried not to let on. “Let’s take a closer look,” he said calmly and invited the family into the examination room.

The initial examination
After explaining the situation, Dr. Lewis listened carefully and gently took the creature from Sarah. His hands were gentle but firm so that the animal was held securely. “Interesting find,” he murmured as he carefully examined the tiny, scaly body. Sarah felt a mixture of pride and fear as the vet examined the animal, and Dr. Lewis’ serious face added to the tense atmosphere in the room. “This is certainly unusual,” he finally stated.
