Despite our combined curiosity, Jake returned to his primary responsibility. ‘Gotta keep her safe first,’ he said, returning his attention to the lioness. We appreciated his focus, knowing that saving her was more important than solving any puzzles right now. Compassion for the struggling creature trumped any remaining concerns about the marking. Even though we had questions, we were confident that Jake would not let anything distract him from his purpose.

Easing The Lioness’s Pain
Jake delicately adjusted the lioness’ paw, displaying a clear indication of distress. ‘There’s something wrong,’ he said quietly, sensing her strain. The action caused our hearts to contract with empathy for the gorgeous creature. Jake continued to work, hoping to relieve some of her suffering. His hands moved slowly, and every gesture was a ballet with nature. We could feel the strain lessen little knowing Jake was doing everything he could to keep her and her cubs safe.
