Zac was torn
Zac stood frozen in place as the vets approached Lola, unsure what to do. He could see her getting irritated, and he wanted to yell at them to leave her alone. On the other side, he understood she needed support, especially after seeing the ultrasound. Lola realized she couldn’t do it alone.

Lola appeared frightened
He approached them gently and attempted to calm Lola down by murmuring gentle, calming things to her, but this only irritated her further. “Zac, please leave her alone while we’re doing this,” Dr. Edwards remarked, digging through a bag. Lola hissed in annoyance – or possibly agony – and Zac leapt aside, his heart tearing at the sight. Her eyes were terrified, but he couldn’t help her just now.
