The wrong whale
Despite being close to the whale, Clair felt her worry growing, fearing that they had followed the wrong whale. “I can’t believe it,” she muttered, frustration eating away at her resolve. She looked at the crew, whose pale, exhausted faces reflected the tension in the air. They had been following the whale for hours, confident that it was the same one that had swallowed Ethan. “We can’t give up now,” she said firmly. They had to continue the search, without missing the slightest sign, no matter how difficult it was.

Spotting a dot
Clair pointed to a small dot on the horizon, convinced that it was Ethan. “Look, there!” she insisted, stretching out her arm towards the distant shape. “It’s got to be him!” Her heart racing with hope, she adjusted the binoculars to examine the water more closely. The crew exchanged uncertain glances, but Clair remained adamant. “I’m sure of it,” she said, her voice firm and resolute. “We can’t just sit here while he’s out there!”
